Very interesting place, with a spectacular fortress on a high cliff; impressive architecture; the Lefe beer museum is a little more commercialised than I like; the cave Grotte La merveilleuse is impressive. There are several castles and castle ruins around from different historical periods. Great place to visit! Kayaking and rock climbing is also a thing here, although it's not our cup of tea.

Beautifull small village in a very nice location. The castle offers a nice experience and you can have good food in Dinant. There are a lot of short excursions you can have starting from Dinant. A very nice destination for a short vacation.

went for a weekend to explore, beautiful place. the one ticket that includes the cable car, tour of the citadel and then the boat trip is a bargain, next time Ill choose the 2hr boat trip instead of the 45 minutes, so relaxing. lots of resteraunts to choose from although it pays to book ahead in the evenings. the town itself is very clean and tidy, no rubbish anywhere.CLIVE FORDUnited Kingdom - 8.0Scored 8.0

On our last day, we had a transportation issue and the lovely host personally drove us to the train station. The overall stay was amazing. The fireplace made our cold evenings cozy and comfortable. The heating system was great. Everything was really nice and clean. Worth the money. If you choose to travel using public transport, you have to take a bus from Dinant train station and then walk 1.3km to reach the stay. Information how to get to the nearest supermarket was helpful for better food prices. We drove closer to Dinant, parked and walked in across a bridge. The apartment is really spacious and stylishly furnished. The helpful cycling and walking maps to use were highly appreciated. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the centre of Dinant, but it wasn't noisy despite that. The cafe/bar La Capsule is really worth a visit too, great decor and beers and friendly staff. Our room was extremely clean and warm. It was very comfortable as well. The sauna was a very nice addition and the balcony was overlooking a beautiful tree-lined road/small forest. The breakfast was tasty and varied. The location is 8 mins walk away from the train station, and right next to the center of Dinant walking. The tour of Maison Leffe inside the hotel was also interesting.

The arrival was a bit complicated for us as we had not booked a taxi beforehand and could not find any in Dinant centre. We ended up walking from the city which took about 1 hour (but the path was beautiful and absolutely worth it). The hotel is ideally situated in the greenery, from where you can start your hikes through the woods. The room was perfect for a 1-night stay.
