Great place,, stayed on the way up to Edinburgh, for swift concert. Immediately felt welcome, so well looked after, upgraded the room and made my daughter and her mates up a extra bed so they could all stay together. Great breakfast, couldn't have done anymore! Will stay again when travelling up north. Real gem of a place
Nestled amid 2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, this fine Victorian property boasts a peaceful setting in a leafy district of Gateshead, yet within easy reach of Newcastle

Very pleasant environment in a quiet location. Traditional features and decor of the main building created a great ambiance.

The location is quiet,so no problem sleeping. There are bus links in to the town interchange. Bus service to
the metro centre.

Gateshead is great for shopping, restaurants etc with Newcastle city and access to Baltic and Glasshouse (formerly Sage) easy . Unfortunately the public transport for me was extremely disappointing and erratic with little incentive to reduce car usage. Ok, they have rush hours like most cities in UK but waiting 1.5 hours on Friday night for a single bus from the terminus that was cancelled every 30 minutes without explanation or apology is totally acceptable!. I wasted a full two hours trying to get from city to hotel in Gateshead and almost gave in to a cab as many other passengers had done. I was determined to keep my carbon footprint intact but it left me livid. If this government want us to leave our cars behind they need to level things up far far better!

Very huge spawling and faceless decrepit 70s building towers. Some areas looked run down and dodgy not a place to be late at night.
Maybe there were some prettier areas but in the time we had we didn't find any.
Thd old part 5 mins away was pretty with old country estates, parks and nice restaurants.

Rang hotel to let them know i'm disabled and dont handle stairs very well so switched to a ground floor room. There is a staff lift which they will let you use if needed. Also dont be conned by local taxis, they told us pub near hotel had a late bar but it didnt and on returning to hotel staff told us 24/7 bar for residents as night watch keeper would get you drinks if after hours. Loads of staff around when we got back after 12am as there had been a wedding function there and they were resetting the place for the morning. No problems at all very clean hotel and breakfast was spot on too.

We were visiting The Sage in Gateshead for a Brit Floyd concert, but Newcastle just a short walk over the Millennium Bridge, which is a lovely city and quaint quayside Sunday market. Later walked back and up into Gateshead. Don't know the area but didn't seem much to see compared to Newcastle so just assumed Newcastle is the larger city. It was getting dark as well and everything closed, didn't see many restaurants open. We did find a Wetherspoons and had dinner in there. Preferred Newcastle which was vibrant by comparison. It was a short walk through to Gateshead though and maybe we'd have discovered more if we'd had more time there.

Gateshead and the surrounding area has a massive range of things to see and do and all within a short distance. For instance, on our visit and in one day, we visited 'The Angel of the North', 'Marsden Grotto' (superb place indeed), North Shields the 'Pedestrian/Cycle Tunnel, the 'Barbour' outlet and the Tyne Tunnel as a very small selection.

Brilliant location the Hotel looks like hotels i have stayed in in mainland Europe Italy Austria & Southern Germany the food and room was splendid i would of liked to stay longer as my stay was only 4 one night.
I highly recomend this hotel & restrant.
Location was ok . didn't realize that the town which so close to Gateshead.got on the bus,but missed stop because bus driver didn't know the area.no props getting there and back in the evening and going home.good pub next door and good chip shop.great room, comfy bed, good shower and a had a great night's kip.once I read my emails, thanks to a couple telling me,I liked the fact you needed a code to go through the gate and to collect my key . great idea.
We only spent a couple of hours in the hotel as rushed off to a family party not long after check in. Arrival and check in easy, staff extremely helpful, room was clean, comfortable and spacious but didn't actually end up staying the night as couldn't get a taxi back at end of night. Only came back to pick up our things and check out the next morning so can't really give a try review. From our short experience I would book again
We received a warm welcome on arrival and, during the whole stay, all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and tidy and the bed very comfortable. We only had breakfast there, with a good choice for everyone - I would recommend the 'full English'. The hotel is in a quiet location and the grounds are a delight (when it's sunny!)
The room was at the top of the hotel so was nice and quiet. It was a nice large room with a very large bathroom. The bed was really comfy. I enjoyed the chat with the bar and restaurant staff who were very knowledgeable about the wines and spirits they served. The food was excellent and had items on the menu that you don't always see.
I booked this hotel for the location and the good quality that I have experienced before. Unfortunately, in my excitement of an event, I booked this hotel twice without realizing. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, courteous and kind about the error and within 12 hours they cancelled the double booking and cleared the invoice.
We were doing the C2C and it was the best hotel. Very comfy, they help us with the bikes. Amazing breakfast...
Special mention for Georgia who help us in the breakfast (we were 6 and we were quite annoying asking her a lot). She answered and resolve everything with a smile and she didn't complain. Thank you Georgia ❤️
I'm an expat Geordie and visit the north east a number of times a year to visit family and friends. I have stayed at a number of hotels over the years Beamish Hall, Ravensworth Arms, and have found the Bowes Incline to give the ideal balance between comfort, hospitality, and value for money.
Spent a weekend at this outstanding hotel, on arrival was greeted by David who kindly showed us to our room, which was well; spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, has all you need for your stay including a large flat screen TV.
Food , freshly cooked.plenty if choice hot or cold.staff friendly and always 😊. Even my Brother funeral breakfast was amazing.Cannot praise it highly enough. My stay was 100percent excellent.weell done Angel View Hotel.
Reay warm hotelier. Felt homely. Very tasty breakfast. Absolutely reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this for anyone who's wishing to visit Gateshead or Newcastle Upon Tyne or Durham.
Excellent effort made to provide a fully vegan breakfast - much appreciated. The room was lovely, clean and spacious, and surprisingly quiet given the main road location of the hotel.
Awful unclean smelt so bad we couldn’t stay and had to book into a hotel . Paid £170 for somewhere we couldn’t stay and got a refund credit of £17 joke do not book this place
Park Farm have nailed the hotel experience. Great communication. Really good rooms and hassle free stay. Exactly what I needed for my stay near Newcastle. Great price too.
