Tynemouth has beautiful beaches and views, with plenty of pubs with real ale and cafes. Great place to visit as day trip from Newcastle on the Metro, or as stopping off point on coastal walk/cycle.

I have visited Tynemouth on previous occasions though this was the first time i had stayed there. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on this occasion but from experience Tynemouth is an excellent place for a relaxing break. There are coastal walks and History in the town which is very well kept. Also there are several places of interest to visit nearby and the centre of Newcastle is a 20 minute ride on the Metro.

Location was spectacular. Views from flat couldn't be beaten. Beds were comfortable (i.e. the mattress). It was easy enough to find the key and get in to the property. It had neutral décor. Access to Tynemouth facilities (loads of great pubs and restaurants) was a 5 minute walk and parking was plentiful, free and easy to access right outside the flat. No traffic noise. 5 minute walk to metro station so really easy to get to Newcastle if required.

The location is ideal for exploring everything Tynemouth has to offer, within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beaches. Edith Haven is an excellent holiday home, tastefully decorated, clean and spacious enough for our party of four. A few welcome treats from the owner Raymond was a lovely touch too.

The place is great. It's fresh, well cared for and pretty well equipped. The location is first class with cafes, restaurants and local pubs just around the corner. The views along the coast across the river and of the Tynemouth Priory are simply magnificent. Parking is designated so no problems there at all.
